Chronic Pain

I have had chronicly painful feet since I was 13. My feet are badly deformed and, at 13, I left home, and no longer had access to the orthotics I needed. About four years ago, I was able to get orthotics. It has helped a lot

Fast forward to about six or seven weeks ago, I pulled a pizza out of the oven, our short dog lunged for it. The pan touched my arm, as did cheese. I peeled the cheese off and skin peeled with it, as well as, charred edges around the outside. It was dark and I didn’t want to drive anywhere. I iced it and treated over the next few weeks. About two weeks ago, it closed with no infection but I have nasty scar. Yes, I should have had it seen.

About the time it closed up, I developed all over pain. My feet our horrible. My knee, hip and right thigh are painful, my left knee is popping in and out, my back hurts and I mention, my feet are often at a 7 or 8. I’m calling my doctor Monday.

Chronic pain also causes odd issues that upset my husband terribly. I get cold when pain is high and, tonight, I had to go to the bathroom after a 10 minute session of foot pain at an eight; burning, stabbing, take my breath away pain. Home alone or with my daughter, I could have managed it better but in the car, with my husband, not so much. I asked him to pull over and he was so angry and upset with me I told him, never mind. I did make it home.

Here’s hoping my doctor has an answer. Emergency potty stops are no fun!
