Freedom
Everything I move upstairs feels like freedom. I am, slowly, moving Anna’s boxes out and second handing a ton of my things. My bio mom was the only neat hoarder I have ever know. I sold her house (and got taken) quickly after she passed. I threw stuff in boxes and moved it and thenContinue reading “Freedom”
Today
I worked at my care giving job today and came home and cleaned and I’m exhausted. It’s very hot which adds to the exhaust but Anna (daughter) and I made progress in our rather hoarded upstairs. I am moving some of my bio mom’s things to second hand and trying to find my style. AnContinue reading “Today”
Grandmas
We upgraded our internet so I can talk to my grandkids and blog. That related back to my babies, too. I want to be able to make money blogging so I can have a job that travels with me. I want to be part of their lives. I love my family by love and wantContinue reading “Grandmas”
Negative Self Talk
A friend reminded me today that I do a lot of negative self talk as I clean. I never thought about it but I do. Does anyone else? Well, stop it! After much thought, I can track my negative self talk to an incident one Christmas after I became an adult. I had come homeContinue reading “Negative Self Talk”
My Dad
As I continue to read the book “Mean Mothers” I realize my dad was afraid of my mom. He just wanted to keep the peace. He had no idea how to parent. I remember many summer adventures with him so he didn’t have to leave me with my mom and grandmother who was also notContinue reading “My Dad”
I’m Proud of You
I have just started reading the book “Mean Mom” by Peg Streep. She talks about how all mothers, at some point, are resentful of their daughters. I have one daughter and three daughters in love. I celebrate each of their victories with them. Two are making huge steps in personal growth. You go girls!!! OneContinue reading “I’m Proud of You”
Mom by Love Two
I can’t stop crying. Her daughter, my best friend, was with her today and she won’t even open her eyes. She even refused chocolate pudding. We share a love for chocolate. Years ago, she gave us a few little things for Easter and told us we had chocolate bunnies but she ate them the nightContinue reading “Mom by Love Two”
Mom by Love
Yesterday, I arrived at my mom’s apartment complex and found her in a medical emergency. She is 90 and not my biological mom but she is the women who healed so many wounds from my biological mom. I love her with my whole heart. ❤️ She has been in my life for the last 15Continue reading “Mom by Love”
