It’s been too long since I posted. Life goes on but there have been many joyful moments. We went to see our kids (my step children) and grandchildren. Got to spend a day with our granddaughter. I was so much fun. I even got to play on an indoor play ground with her. She isContinue reading “Too Long”

Market Bags
I am selling these for $19.99. I have enjoyed setting the goal and finishing these. It always feels like a win. Bio mom said I’d never do anything. I love this!!
Prototype
Today I finished a market bag. Tomorrow, I will make notes about things that need to be done with the pattern for next time. I have always thrown things together and worry about quality later. If something wasn’t done well and no one wanted it, then I fulfilled my prophecy that I would fail. I’mContinue reading “Prototype”
Joyful Halloween quilt
Three rows to go.
Joyful Quilting
I haven’t talked much about joyful quilting. I have struggled with finding my footing in the art I do. I gave up creatingContinue reading “Joyful Quilting”
Sumo Santa
I haven’t done much unhoarding this week. I have a nasty bone bruise on a rib and not up to par with the covid shot. Really tired, mostly. With that said, I will have two quilts ready to go by Monday. It’s not unhoarding but it is getting things in order. One quilt will goContinue reading “Sumo Santa”
Joyful Quilting?
Not so much today. I keep making mistakes but I’m still sewing on this quilt. In the past, with the depression in play, I would have tossed all of it or put it away, never to see the light of day. Today I just tossed the offense block in the trash and kept sewing.
Long Day
Went to a doctor’s appointment with husband, daughter and friend. Very long day. Really want to be home cleaning. I love this freedom of finding clothes in the morning, knowing where each, current, quilt project is located and know where tools and other household items reside. It makes for truly joyful quilting, joyful healing andContinue reading “Long Day”
My Sewing Room
This is my sewing space. I still have some work to do. The floor will be pulled up and replaced this fall. Hopefully, this will lead to beautiful quilts, bags and scarves.
Overwhelmed?!!! Nope!
Last night, I talked to my stepson and grandkids. They are in the process of selling a home and moving and working two and a half jobs. My husband and I can help so we are going down on September 9th. Then we will come home and go back a couple of weeks later toContinue reading “Overwhelmed?!!! Nope!”
